Thanks for your help...

Am using Win XP Pro...I did have to download the drivers as XP didnīt see the device initially and installed them, according to the instructions on the resler site..

The device comes up in the hardware list etc...

Maybe a fresh install of everything....?

Also , yes, I'm using the 3-pin connector from the cd changer..
