Help - New to my X5 4.6

I am trying hard to like the premium audio system. When I am listening to a cd from my changer, is there a way of turning on the songs info? so as I play the cd i can see the track or CD title?

thanks!

Only under the following conditions:

1. You have an MP3 CD changer
2. You are playing MP3 CDs with the text stored as ID3 tags
3. If you have nav, you need the latest BM54 tuner module with the latest software
4. If you don't have nav, you need the latest model radio with the
latest software
5. You turn the option on

Thanks KIWI. I guess I have to get this software upgrade from BMW. ouch. I am assuming that in the new software it gives the option of turning on the song info. Do you know if the 02 4.6 premium sound system supports MP3 to begin with?

thanks for your post!!

Not quite, the unit either has the ability to display id3 track info or not, its not an upgradeable option.

my suggestion - drop the CD changer and install a Dice unit or Ice Link in it's place. That gives you an interface for an iPod with full song tags and artists on the display.
