Split screen trouble with street names

I have a MKIV system in a Z4. I'm currently running V28 and a 2007.1 disc.

When I have my screen in split screen mode, the street names (along with city/state and GPS coordinates) are supposed to be displayed in the right portion of the screen. While driving tonight, I noticed that only the GPS coordinates are displaying, no street/city/state names.

I know the unit is obtaining a correct signal, since the unit correctly identifies the location of my car when in the map mode.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

one idea...

Get a Garmin....

My new 07 is in now getting the BMW nav, (if you can call it that) ripped out of it and having my Garmin Nuvi custom mounted in what will be the flip top.

Not a cheap "fix" on a brand new car.
But the BMW Nav is a POS in comparison to even a low end Garmin.

If only I would have listened when the dealer told me it was a waste of money to buy....

Try upgrading to 29.1 - resetting the system firmware may help.
