Dumb Nav Question #112

Ok, I am very new to tweaking the nav systems (I did my first upgrade a couple weeks ago). Have some, probably dumb, questions, thought I'd just ask them now while I can still blame it on newbie ignorance:

What operating system is the nav system running, Windows?
Is there a way to upload addresses into the address book via a thumbdrive? For example I have a list of places I am going but want to avoid using the knob; just want to plug into a custom-mounted USB port somewhere in the car.
Is there a way to have a day/night mode for the perspective view, so it shows a night skyline at night?

That is all the dumb questions I can think of right now.

Hi,

I wouldn't even call it operating system . It's just a sofware that BMW made to control all the car's systems .

You may change the background to anything you want ( for instance sunset or sunrise ) . Anyway if you meant auto-changing ,so that when it's let's say 7pm and the background goes dark , so I guess it's not possible . Maybe if You were a really good programmist and spent many hours working out the BMW's software ,You would be able to do such a thing ... so far I haven't heard about something like that .

As far as I know there's no such a possibility . You would need to install it in nav memory somehow and I guess it can't be done easily.
