Is my Bordmonitor dead?
Great forum you have here. I have an E46 which came factory fitted with MK III Sat Nav and a 4:3 Bordmonitor. I have been slowly updating the system as I acquire the necessary parts. I currently have the MK IV running V29.1 software with my 4:3 monitor. Yesterday I acquired a 16:9 Bordmonitor, on connecting up I was able to hear audio from the radio but unable to get the screen to function or any of the buttons. I’m able to adjust the volume and the stored frequencies from my steering wheel. I have disconnected the negative lead to the battery for 10 minutes to see if this would resolve the issue but it hasn’t. Am I right in assuming that this monitor is dead? Your comments and suggestions are welcomed. Thanks Ray |

Both of the connectors are securely connected to the unit. Do you have an E46? If so I can give you instructions for removal of your 4:3 Cheers Ray. |
