Changing screen from 4:3 to 16:9

Hello all
sorry if this has been answered before. I have just upgraded my screen from 4:3 to the 16:9 however when it is on it still displays in 4:9 can anyone tell me how to change this?

I have the MKiV with V30 OS on it so it will support it.

Please help.

Switch car off, disconnect battery, wait 5min then reconnect

The nav should then re-scan the system and detect the screen type, and adjust itself.

I did manage to get the screen to work in 16:9 but when i changed the radio station or put the TV on it switched back to 4:3 and stayed that way until it is left over night then it switches back to 16:9. Anyone have any clues as to why this is happening and what I can do to fix it?

Your video module does not support 16:9

Change the video module to a newer version made after 2001, then you will have proper 16:9 support.

So what’s these Hybrid boxes?

Yes, the video modules are plug and play

You can remove the old analogue one and fit a new hybrid

Hybrid means it has a digital TV tuner AND an analogue TV tuner built into the same unit.
