HELP ! removing 4:3 monitor fascia panel ?

Hi, i've read all teh online guides but no one seemed to mention teh most diffiuclt part of a 16:9 upgrade. ... how do you actually remove the rim panel on the 4:3 unit ? I have the two screws at the top sides off and now the fascia is loose at the top and lower 2 corners but appears to be pinned very tightly centre bottom of the monitor. No amount of wiggling will remove it.

any help appreciated
