Lightbulb 4:3 to 16:9 upgrade

I've replaced the CD Nav drive for the Latest DVD ver and its running 29.1 latest software 3D split screen etc...
I've changed the 4:3 screen for the 16:9 screen and the TV is in 4:3.

I heard you have to change the TV unit...is this 100% true?

Is there no adjustments you can make in the TV unit to adjust the hight and width to effectivly stretch it to fit?

I know this is a botch job, but it would look better and saves you over £300!

I used to be a TV engineer, and most TVs have adjustable "pots" inside for Virtical hold, Hosizontal hold, wide, hight etc...

Just wondered if anyone has had these apart.

The 4:3 video module will work with the 16:9 unit, but as you discovered it will only display in 4:3. The only real solution is to replace the video module.

Has no one taken one apart?
Any Pictures?

There must be some pots inside to adjust.

The issue is probably more related to programming on one of the embedded EEPROMs. So, we would need to send it back to the manufacturer to get the things reprogrammed. To my knowledge, no one has figured out how to modify one on their own.
