Problem with BM24 Radio
I have just fitted a brand new 16:9 screen + 16:9 videomodul in an E46, also a brand new MK4 computer. First it had a 4:3 screen, 4:3 videomodul and a MK3 computer. Only the old radiomodul (BM24) is re-used. But now, after turning the key in position 1 the cd changer plays good, but when you start the car the cd changer stops and the radio begin to play. After that it says 'No CD in changer' when there are a few CD's in it. Also the front CD player (behind the screen) doesn't work, when I put a cd in, it says 'TAPE'...... Must I replace the radiomodul to a BM54? Or is the BM24 just wrecked? Last edited by BertusE46; 02-08-2008 at 01:12 PM. |

Hi,
Yes, the BM24 only recognized TAPE (because when produce it was only car fitted with). I've done some retrofit (3) and yes again, bm24 need to be changed because sometimes it cause Ibus collision. So go for a BM54 !! |
