How do i burn a Map Disc?

Hi Gents,
Ok I need some help, I have read all the posts on here about burning Nav Map discs (purely for back up purposes only).

Now every time I put the “Burnt” disk in the Nav it says incorrect disc.

The Details:
Nav Comp : Mk4
Nav: SW 4 1/91
2004 BMW X5 4.4
I-Bus
16x9 Colour Screen

Whats on the burnt Disk:
config
db
dbal
tpd
cdrom.tocconfig
db
dbal
tpd
cdrom.toc
files.cfg
INFO_MAP.TXT

How do I burn a copy that works, so far I have (using imgburn) created an ISO file and then burnt it to both a CD and DVD at 1x speed done this about 20 times and nothing.

Any help would be great:

Using Verbatium CD-R and DVD-R

You are burning the iso image, not the contents (exploded zip) on to the blank?

I also use imgburn, and have no prblems. (read - create iso, write - burn iso image to disc).

It could be that your nav drive don't like backup, some don't, have you tried a DVD+R they somtimes work where DVD-R's don't.

I use two DVD-RW's in rotation, one in the drive and one to burn next camera update.

Just had all kinds of fun doing just this. In my case all the discs burned on one DVD burner completely failed to work in the Mk4 drive. Switched to another machine and burned one disc on that and it worked first time. No idea what the differences between the drives are - apart from 5 years in age, but the newer one worked just fine.

in an attempt to help, i will take a guess here.

if you managed to download your image, chances are you might have the incorrect version for your vehicle. The high Version DVD will work with X5's 03 - 06. 07+ use the Premium version for the i-drive system. Having the wrong version will not work on your x5 no matter how you burn the dvd.
