Is my MK3 dead ?
I have just updated from MK2 to MK3, and updated the MK3 with version 29 software (version 23 on MK3) When i ride my car, I can see that the car i moving in the GPS screen, but the car is about 20 miles from where I actully am. I have just checked the GPS Status on the navi (SET + Menu for 10 sec) In the censor menu is these data: Wheel censor: 0 GPS Satelites: 00 GPS Status: GPS Error Gyro: 02520 Under GPS Menu: Reciever sw. vers.. 0.0 Reciever sw. date. 0.00 Someone wrote something about a triple module left from the CD-Changer (But I can find this in my car) ...Is it build in a MK3 ? I have not tried to disconnect the battery yet. Anyone ? Or do I need a new Navi Computer. My old MK2 is dead, so I can't check with this . Thanks in advance

Your car's GPS antenna does feed into the "Trimble" module that was separate with the MKII. You need to disconnect the antenna cable and move it over to the little coax antenna plug on the MKIII. I believe that the Trimble module is located almost on top of the nav computer.

Well, I don't see it in that picture, so it is not where the BMW wiring diagram software says it is. Hmmm. I am not sure exactly where it is in the X5.
The Trimble module is a little silver box, about 2 cm x 15 cm x 20 cm with a 2 cm flange around the edge.
