Question MK III dead after reboot

OK here is the story.

I had version 3-1/50.
Upgraded with V28 to 3-1/60 after reboot worked fine.

Then changed languages from FR and IT to DE and ENG
Inserted the disk, it loaded the voices got the OK screen, the unit spit out the disk, I hit OK nav reboots and that was it, black screen.

No I bus signal via navcoder, I tried all the tricks, insert OS disk power down the unit, hard rest but nothing works.

Also used the V17 disk, it accepts it you can here the laser move but after 10 seconds the disk just stops, I can eject en insert again but same story.

Any tips/ ideas i could try?

Thanks guys

If your navi returnes disk - it's a bad sign.... 80% that it's dead..... sorry for saying that....

It does not spit the disk out.

It takes the disks, turns, you hear the laser and after 10 seconds it just stops.

The power button flashes, if I put the Nav disk in the power light stays on but no I-bus signal.

Try what someelse did the other day. Put the nav on its side so it is vertical, not horizontal. Then try and reload. Apparently helps when mechs get old.
