Not for the 2008-2, is the eng.lsc (or GER.LSC) the same format as the 2008-1? if so it should be straight forward.

I have tested the 2008-2 PRO Europe in my fathers 530-05 (E60)
The new 2008-2 PRO Europe is 5,75 gb so its also an DL (Dual Layer) DVD...

But the nav doesnt recognize it..It only says DVD ERROR..

Which CIP software is the latest that makes his dvd-rom able to read DL....

I have v31 in my mk4 and it allows the nav unit to read my 2008-2 HIGH Europe (DL 5,15gb)

How do i check i the nav unit which CIP software he has?

BMW do. The only way you can upgrade the software is through BMW. So why not ask them?
