Cool Perspective view with idrive

HI

Does anyone know how to access the 3d perspective view with the idrive system, on a 54 plate E60, I need to get into the gps service menu to turn it on. Have done it on the Mk4 by going into settings and holding the menu button down, but cant figure it on the idrive...

For us international people here, you may like to explain what a "54 plate" E60 is. That's not a term I'm familiar with in cental Europe, Australia or New Zealand. I'm guessing the term relates to the year of first registration, but it doesn't help me with knowing what age your car is.

Anyway, access iDrive service menu as follows:
To access service menu in i-drive cars:
1. From the main menu display, press the controller down for minimum 6 seconds.
2. Turn the controller 3 increments clockwise (to the right).
3. Turn the controller 3 increments counter-clockwise (to the left).
4. Turn controller 1 increment clockwise (right).
5. Turn controller 1 increment counter-clockwise (left).
6. Turn controller 1 increment clockwise (right).
7. Push down on the controller.
8. To exit the service mode, select the return arrow at the bottom on the left of the screen.

However, if I recall correctly, the E60s always have 3D view available, you just have to switch it on in the normal view menu (whereever it is)

Hello

In CCC service menu you cannot change any options.
For normal user it is absolutely unusual.

If you have CCC(Navi Pro) you always can switch between perspektive\travel direction\pointing north in
NAVI first screen(controller->)

This function is always enabled.

Regards
