Everyone: Please read the NAV forum rules

Who do i have to be to encourage people to do the right thing? All I'm asking is that people be respectful of the sites policy.

If it bothers "you" then don't respond. As far as I'm concerned people around here have been pounding the give it to me free drum a lot more than any repetitive responses i given about the matter.

I don't feel bad for them either. But what's right is right. Just because the company is making a substantial amount of money for their product is no reason to steal their product. I mean really... in your own words who are you to decide when it proper to steal someones property?

Saying that the average Joe will do anything to save a buck is no reason to uphold bad behavior. Your probably right i'm not going to change anything by preaching that piracy is illegal but i will continue to stand up for what is right. How about you?

Why don't you do us all a favor instead of asking me to pipe down about an issue that is clearly wrong why don't you take a stand and contribute to the betterment of the site and promote what the site requires regarding this matter. In that way we can continue to contribute to a better environment.

I'm all for doing the right things and I'm not saying I've never downloaded anything illegally online, but $200 for a nav dvd is robbery. The fact that we pay so much for these fine vehicles should mean BMW gives us a free update every year, or at least while our cars are under warranty. I can afford the $200, I just refuse to pay it. Navteq should charge $50 max, they'd have a lot more buyers and a lot less piracy.

He's actually a gentleman and a senior member that deserves some respect. I find it funny that you don't have the nerve to post under your real screen name. Speak for yourself as far as most of us being common slobs.

I am also retired and probably longer than you guys. This is all getting very tiresome and it would be nice if we could stick to technical topics here and take the arguing to some OT place!

Why aren't all these piracy-related threads deleted, plain & simple?!

BTW, does anyone know where I can find free tires for my car? I really don't wanna spend money on new tires all the time...
