i-bus analizer -Kiwi this is for You ;-)

Dearest friends...
I found on the web different alternative hardware to connect the IBUS to the PC. Most known and updated seems to be the Resler..fine to me;
BTW I found three versions of a simpler resler also. Two only differs because the NTSC connection and/or the LED presence. But another one (sse pic), even simpler, with same basic scheme does not have at all the 12 DC from the car.
I was wondering if this last one...very..very simple is good to work or not? If so why do we have the12 DC in the others???

Thank You

I use Ante's all in one computer interface which provides me with both an IBUS and computer video interface with a much nicer video display in the E83 versus the E46 with the OEM tuner video input interface. I still utilize Rolf's "legacy" USB IBUS interface in the E46 - works - last 8 years or so.
