Monitor turns off when engine starts.

Hi folks.

I've searched the web high and wide for problems i'm having with my monitor on my 2001 monitor which includes comms pack with sat nav and tv.
I noticed a few sites have mentioned this place for most knowledge on sat nav issues, so here goes.

I had this problem a couple of years ago but cleared itself up after about 6 months.

The monitor flickers and turns itself off not long after the car is started up. It's fine and working when only the ignition lights on switched on but once the car is started, about 5 seconds later, the screen will flicker and turn off. Looks like it's some sort of interference or something. Only thing I have noticed is I can here a relay 'click' down by the drivers footwell before the screen turns off. System is original and never been upgraded or messed about with.

Hope someone can help me sort this out as it's driving me mad, and i don't want to take it to the dealers and the last time they charged me £50 just to change a brake light bulb!

Thanks
