No. One from an e38 or e39 will work in an e53, but not an e46

Hi guys,

I heard that the 16:9 nav screen from the E38 or E39 will fit into the X5, but there are special models used for the X5. That's because of the viewing angle. Can someone confirm that using a screen from E38 / E39 does not cause any troubles in viewing that screen (like watching the screen of a laptop from the side)?

Thanks,
Tom

I've seen both the factory X5 16:9 screen and a retrofit screen from an e38 mounted in an X5 in a side by side comparison and did not see a discernable difference in viewing quality

:welcome: to X5world
