Sat nav firmware update problems

Hi all i downloaded v31 of bmw update from pirate bay burnt it and installed it to the system it now shows ver 4/00 www.autinavi something like that when you view the soft ver, ok the problem is it keeps constantly re booting frezzing and it sometimes goes to a really basic display font, i have downloaded v32 from link on this forum and tried to install that but it says system is upto date, so my theory is the last update v31 is a bad update, i thought it was to do with my backup dvd 2008 02 high disc, but i put the orignal 2004 disc in and it still is same so must be bad update, is there anyway to force the update or erase firmware and start again using the v32 disc?

The V31 and V32 disk have the same OS version on them. To force a downgrade, try going back to V30 or earlier.
