2003 X5 in dash dvd player

Hi guys I have JVC double din DVD player thinking of getting it installed. Is this possiable. Any concerns i should be aware of. Has anyone gotten in-Dash DVD player installed. Will i lose any functionality any info you guys can pass on be greatly appreciated.

You can do anything you want

But the JVC cannot control the car.

Think of everything that you do now in the car that is controlled by the stereo/nav system eg rip computer, clock, etc
None of this will be possible with the JVC
