Turn by Turn problem

Hi--new here, so I apologize if this has been previously been posted. After I enter in my destination and hit directions, the only thing my nav will say is "please proceed to the planned route". It doesn't say anything else. Any ideas would be appreciated. It has the MKIV with the 2008 disc.

gotta get moving so it can acquire you. put in a destination in town and start going there. if it fails to find you then maybe take out the dvd and reinsert it, my nav has had trouble reading the DVD and just sat where ever it last was, i removed the DVD so it re read it and then it was fine. or maybe the antenna is unplugged or busted.

Where would I look to see if the antennae is unplugged?
