Nav screen getting light blue lines and sploches
My Nav screen on the MKIV has started getting light blue lines and sploches on the screen. It started out only one line, now there are 6 and a couple small sploches. I am guessing the screen is going bad (after only 5 years) Any thoughts???

5yr old car?
Go to the dealer and demand warranty replacement. The fault is inside the screen itself, generally caused by poor contacts between LCD screen and the circuit board |

Wouldn't this be out of the normal warranty period for the car? If not that would be fantastic!

I have the same issue with a 2004 X5. I have the BMW extended warranty (2 yr./50K) past the 4 yr/50K and the dealer tells me the radio and nav. unit is not covered.
Looking for a simple economical solution if anybody has one. Thanks. |
