RR MK3 in E39. "Software Required" yet won't accept RR or BMW firmware discs

Hi all,

Allow me to explain.... I was playing around in INPA and accidentally pressed the 'require software' option or whatever it was called. suffice to say it now starts up and wants the software disc loaded.

Drive is a Range rover Mk3 drive in a BMW E39 540 (DE62)

I have tried BMW v32 and RR discs v3/32 to no avail. The RR disc is a correctly burnt Mode2/Form 1 disc, and I have previously used it to upgrade the drive to the latest firmware, but now it wont accept it.

I can get access to it in INPA along with DIS, but being an RR drive, all the features are not available and DIS v44 wont code it (to be expected as its a RR drive). There is an option to clear the software required bit, but it does not seem to accept it.

Is there anything that can be done?

Cheers,
Aaron
