Unhappy black screen Mk3 radio turns of after 4 mins

Hi my 02 x5 has mk3 nav with wide screen monitor, i bought it with dead mk3 so its been over a year i been driving with black screen and radio turn off after 4 mins but the red light stay on (on the monitor) then i turn off using vol button and it turns back on and works for about 4 mins same with radio and cd changer, so what could be the problem i don't want to spend 1k on mk4 how and what can i do to fix it, can it be amp ((( can i try loading V32 on mk3?? )))
