Help please. No sound !

Hi

I recently bought a 2001 M5 that the nav system was out of order due to water damage .. I have replaced the radio unit and a new Mk3 computer . The Tv tuner I also know works. I fitted the Computer today and everything booted up greit with all the menu options correct . I shut down the car and went for dinner

But afted shutting of ignition and turning back on the DSP option is no longer on the screen . And there is no sound on the radio or Navi. (No changer fitted yet) Can only find the power cable for this ? Any ideas ?

I also have 2 cables that i can`t fint the right spot for . Pictures attached .

Black plug is speaker plug for the DSP amp.

This will be why you have no sound: no speakers plugged in :-)
Check your DSP amp connections - are you sure the amp is fitted?

The amp is fitted . No slot for this black plug.3 plugs in the amp one big black , and 2 smaller connectors ..

Could the black plug be supposed to connect with someting forward in the car ?

OK, I looked at the WDS.

The black plug is connector X18774
It is an 8-pin (according to WDS!) black connector, and connects to the subwoofer speaker, mounted underneath the rear parcel tray.

The wires are:

Pin 2 = Blue/White = Sub 1 pos
Pin 3 = Blue/brown = Sub 1 neg

Pin 4 = Yellow/Black = Sub 2 pos
Pin 5 = Yellow/Grey = Sub 2 neg

Pin 8 = Yellow/Red = Sub 3 pos
Pin 9 = Grey/Brown = Sub 3 neg

Pin 10 = Yellow/White = Sub 4 pos
Pin 11 = Yellow/Brown = Sub 4 neg

The clear connector is X400, and is the connector for the telephone loom. Telephone is optional, so if you have to phone fitted, this connector is not used.
It contains battery power, ign power, ibus, illumination, ground, telephone mute, telephone audio out, and telephone on wires.

It is the most convienient place in your car to connect my NavCoder software :-)

I got the sound working today the thing that did it yesterday was the battery in the car is gone bad , and as soon as the amp god real power and the system rebooted it played sound .
But the sound was very poor and only with the high tones . And the woofer cable explaines that
so thanks a million ! As i understand the black plug is connected to the speakers, I will check tomorrow .

I have one last problem . I cant find the data cable for the Cd changer .. does anyone know where this cable is located?

The cable should be there as the changer has been mounted in this car when the waterdamage occured..

Im still not sure where the woofer cables are supposed to go , I have added a picture of the left hand side wheel arch. It is a hole there . Is the woofer cable supposed to join with something in my car ? where are the woofers located ?
