I think the angle of the pixels are different but don't know if it makes much of a difference to the eye, I think 5series and x5 and 3 series navs have different angles aswell!

Not sure if the buttons are the other way around but doubt it but you will be able to tell that from looking at the nav which your looking to purchase!

The fitting will be the same, just pop off the casing around the nav and then you will see a few screws around the screen and then just pull out the nav and unclip the connector, about a 10 min job!

I believe they are mirror images of each other. For example on a LHD unit whenever it tells you to make a right turn, on a RHD unit it will tell you to make a left turn, and vice versa. Other then that, no difference really.

Umm... Some one slap me if I'm being stupid, but left is left no matter which side of the car I'm sitting on..

Wrong, left is only left when you are sitting to the left of the designated driving position as traveling forward. It ceases to be left once should those factors not all follow. So, ergo, the monitor will appear different on a LHD versus RHD car. Just look at the situation between the UK and the USA. Of course in the Southern Hemisphere (like Australia) the situation is a bit more complicated in that it is not only reversed, but also the mirror image of the reverse. So in other words, left is the opposite and backward.
