Latest Navi CD

I have a problem with my MKIV reader so it can only read CD's and not DVD anymore. My 2010 dvd is thereby worthless. I have an old 2007 CD for scandinavia but im wondering if there are any 2010 CD versions of the maps?

I have found some 2008 on the internet for downloading but i would like to have a newer one if they are still produced.

Anyone know if they are still published in CD-format?

Try it with an authentic OE map DVD instead of a copy that you downloaded and burned. It will probably work fine with an original DVD. Many people have problems getting their MKIV computers to successfully read copies; but they will read a stamped disk just fine.

Or, you could replace the DVD laser with a new mechanism.

My last solution will be to exchange the dvd-mechanism but its still 130 euro so if a free cd is possible then ill go with that.

Replacing the laser mechanism is very easy, but not guaranteed to make a difference on reading an aftermarket dvd (in my experience). However, since the original poster's factory nav dvd can't be read, then it is probably the dvd laser issue.

It takes 10 minutes to do once you have the T9 torx and jewelers flat blade screwdriver in your hands and the nav drive on your workbench (or, in my case, living room coffee table).

As long as the CD-reader works i won't be opening the unit. So I KNOW i can change the dvd-mechanism or only the laser but my question was:

Is there any newer CD versions? 2010 or so?

There is a 2010 nav disc for the USA. Not sure of other countries. Check BMWs website I guess.

Yes is the answer, I've seen that there is a 2010/2011 out now too.

Its disc 8 of the 10 cd navigation pack.
