Navigation Mute

Very brief question, done a bunch of searching and can't come up with the answer I am looking for. I have an 05' X5 4.8is with a Mk.4 navigation unit.

I like to have guidance to a destination for distance and time of arrival information but don't want to hear the voice giving directions. Is there a way to completely mute the navigation volume while it is giving route guidance?

Nav volume under settings is turned down completely and under the info menu I have Nav Min set to -9.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Have you tried a long button press on 'Instruction' menu item?

push in the right control button (below the "MENU" button) and a menu should come up on the screen. Push and hold the right control button again until the speaker symbol next to "Instruction" has a red circle with a line through it appear. Now the nav volume is muted. To unmute it, follow the same steps.
