Nav Map Display

A newbie posting for help from the BMW navigation experts. I have a 2009 JCW MINI with the factory navigation system. It is my understanding that this is the MK4 Professional. I previously owned an '04 MCS with the MK3 sytem. Following posts from this site, I was able to upgrade the OS, added perspective view, and change voices. What I really liked was the map colors. Is was basically Day Mode with nice map colors. With my '09, it appears that my map is stuck in Night Mode. The map background is basically black. Does the MK4 maps for the BMWs appear this way? I would really like to get back to a Day Mode view. Is there a way that I could upgrade/modify my nav system to get this view? Any information or help would be appreciated.
