BMW Mk4 Upgrade to V32 Over V32
I have aquired what I assume is a hacked V32 firmware for my v4 16:9 navigation system. This adds night mode I believe, and also gives me audiable alterts from a speed camera database on my Navigation DVD. The problem is that this update is V32, and my sytem isalready running the genuine V32. I attempted the upgrade and I saw the upgrade notice on the screen, but it almost instantly completed - I didnt see any progress bar like last time so I dont think it actually did anything. Can somebody tell me what I need to do please? Can I use the firmware file on the CD to burn a fresh disc with a higher number? Do I need to downgrade somehow? Any Help appreciated.

You need to downgrade and then re-upgrade. The nav computer will not allow you to load the same version that is already installed on the system. But, it will let you downgrade or upgrade to any other version.
