16/9 Navigation screen and polarized sunglasses

Polarized sunglasses are designed to block horizontally polarized light rays so as to block light reflected from the (horizontal) pavement in front of the car.
My 16/9 navigation screen seems to output light polarized on this same plane so all information on the screen is filtered out by polarized sunglasses.
Would the screen output vertically polarized light the situation would be ideal, your polarized sunglasses blocking reflections from the pavement ahead of you while fully letting through light from your screen.
Can the screen be somehow modified or changed to output vertically polarized light?
Thanks.

In a word, nope. There are no screen mods out there beyond replacing a broken one, let alone changing the polarisation. One possible option is to take off the anti glare coating with a solvent and replacing it with a film. Would require a talented hand to get a perfect finish though, and may not even solve the problem if there is a polarising sheet in the display sandwich.

Don't wear polarized sunglasses. There are other options. I wear transitional photo grey lenses and they work just fine.

Yeah seriously! You wanted to know if you could change the output to, vertically polarized light, but you didnt think to just swap out the sun glasses?! You MUST be a engineer. Over thought the hell out of it!

Well........ Maybe your shades are that good? I never tried them, so I guess I should before I knock ya, huh?

And like someone else mentioned...... what if you tilted your head? Not tring to be a smart ass, just asking.

Whatever kind of polarizers the Navi screen uses internally to filter light and compose the image, the final outcome is horizontally polarized light and thus blocked by polarized shades.
This does not happen with other screens: it does not happen with my TV set nor with my computer, so obviously there are different technologies used in screen design and manufacture.
My question is whether there might exist a replacement screen for the navi that would use a different technology.
Thanks everyone for your answers.
