Possible to get alerts for speed cameras (with pimpmynav)

Hey all

We are after a setup where if you are heading towards a speed camera POI it will beep/play a sound at you, is it possible to get it to do so? the pimpmynav site doesnt say much

Forgive me not being too educated about the MKIV nav system (i own a e30), its my manager and other executives cars they want me to do it to.

Thanks

No, not with PMN;

Read the POIson thread, if you want alerts with a mk4...

E90's use the MOST I-Drive with a PRO disc mate, so wont work with POIson.

Yes, but its a bit of a hack, set the 2nd language (as in the set menu) as the off, swap the current 2nd language to be the same as the 1st (without the alert), swap the txt, and also make sure that the 2nd language on the map disc is also swapped.

This is what I did

OEM

1st lang = Eng
2nd lang = Fre
3rd lang = Ger

So now is

1st lang = Eng [alert on]
2nd lang = Fre (swapped to Eng) [alert off]
3rd lang = Ger [txt removed]

I also recoded my mk4 to be

1st lang = Eng [alert on]
2nd lang = USA [alert off]

As without the recode the TMC, phone and TV have there own language files so display in there native mode (ie: french).

Use navtweak for the language and txt swaps, use notepad for the map disc swaps and use navcoder for the mk4 recode.
