You need to have a look behind the amp rack. You are looking for two 18 pin MQS connectors, one blue; one purple. You are also looking for a coax for the GPS antenna.

The TV-only wiring is very similar to navigation wiring. The navigation computer and TV module use the same blue plug. So, you just need to add the burgundy plug that has the wheel speed and reverse signal. That is very easy. Next, follow the instructions in this post to make a short adapter to add a 2nd blue plug so that you can have both the nav computer and TV module connected. BMW TV Video Module Wiring Harness Finally, you only need to add the GPS antenna to make the system complete.

Or you can buy this lead from the dealers.
BMW Part number: 61 12 6919758 It should be plug and play. If you dont have pre-install then you will also need a gps antenna (get one from ebay for around $15) P.S welcome to the forums, and lucky you having the Digital tuner.

I did this recently - there are matching connections for 3 of the plugs, all near the cd changer. The larger one was tucked down low, the other two on the side of the bracket. Then the white and blue quadlocks go into the nav drive, and any SMB antenna into the nav drive also. Easy!

Thank for all your help with this I did find the plugs they are black and white and do live near the CD charger they sit along side each other along with a black plug that just hangs out. I plugged the black and white plugs at the end of the harness into the sockets then plug the blue and marone into the back of the nav computer. I was given a gps antenae with the unit and used that to see if the unit worked which it did. I would not of been able to achieve this without all the assistance from here to which I am thankful for.
I would like to connect the nav DVD to the cars antenna. I am assuming it would already be there. Can anyone assist with this? Do I need to purchase an antenae for the car and has anyone installed the antenae into a x5? Cheers Compas |

If its not there tucked away, then you may need to buy one, any SMB antenna will do, $10 should get you a brand new one.
