Sirius on 03' X5, confused

OK, I'm looking at an 03' X5. The deal is almost sealed, I'll be going from my 04 M3 to an X5..I know, big jump, but things change and I need an all weather fun driver..and the M isn't that!

So, I've done some reading and am still confused. The X has the MKIV DVD based NAV setup. What exactly nds to be done, updated or bought to step up to Sirius??

I read that too...any idea on the approx cost? $50 piece, $300 piece?

To bring this one step further...it's got a tape deck up front...I don't even own any tapes! Can I upgrade that portion to CD player without doing the whole screen setup or is that all one unit?

i believe that they're in the $400 range.
check w/ Crevier to be exact. u might find
some cheaper on eBay though.

as for the in-dash cassette player, ur SOL.
X5's w/ NAV have a cassette player and cd
changer in the rear. again, correct me if i'm
wrong guys.

Thought that might be the case...I'll have to do some learning on these as I've been an e46 guy for a while now. Have to read up on the audio forum, I've got a bunch of gear to move from the M to the X now too..I'm thinking a Double DIN won't fit in the dash either!

Exactly what I'm thinking of doing...I didn't think it would fit in the dash, the X dash looked very small. I will be starting my project soon as I get back from CES in 2 wks...wanna see what's new coming out then decide which way to go.
