The nav code is pretty self explanatory I think. The Mono and Color coding is at the bottom of the Code Nav page. Brian recoded mine several years ago before I got navcoder for myself.

+1 to what Roy said. You connect NavCoder, and at the bottom of the navigation coding screen, there is a checkbox for color or monochrome. Select color and click the code button. It will prompt you for an OS update CD, and then you are done.

So, this begs the question... if you currently have a custom splash screen, is your unit set to monochrome or color already???

Yes, if you have a modified OS loaded on your MKIV and you code it from monochrome to color, the OS reload will revert your OS to whatever you have on the disk. I highly recommend an un-modified version for this. Then, once you are back to color, you can recreate the custom OS CD with your spash screen and reload that.

So, this begs the question... if you currently have a custom splash screen, is your unit set to monochrome or color already??? you tell me the m5 splash is color, the nav and sirius upgrade i installed is black grey and , if you go to settings you have 2 color choices but neither is color, so that leads me to believe that I have monochrome, unless I am color blind, the seller that charged me $600 dollars had the savy to install custom splash but did not want to hit the radio button in nav coder for color screen, even though they also upgraded the firmware, unless this could be done without navcoder,I asked them about it no response, now i am trying to figure it out.
