Anyone familiar with ACM for Nav/TV?

Hello.

I just uncovered installation instructions for ACM connector retrofit and in my diggings found that ACM stands for Accessory Control Menu and has something to do with Nav/TV set up.

Anyone has any firsthand (second hand) knowledge about this device?

I can't attach the instructions as the PDF exceeds the maximum size, but should be able to email it to interested folks in hopes that somebody can shed some light into the functionality of this retrofit.

The retrofit part number from the PDF is
65 12 0 422 145

which is coming up in the RealOEM even under the US models (which means, that the TV function is not a requirement, as evident from the PDF itself)

This is a picture of a MOST car, even though the retrofit kit is available for iBus cars too...

hello nigw.

as you can see, nobody replied to this post, as it seems that not too many people know about this. i did not install it nor i have seen it in real life. i do have a pdf of original bmw instructions, if you want them, i can post it...

i used the NCSExpert to do rain sensitive roof, it closes the roof when wipers activate... it will NOT close the roof when car is parked with open roof...

do you have the NCSExpert software?

Yes i have the ncs expert software. Its just not working. I got the cheap usb bmw scanner from ebay. I have the software for the easydis and I seen it mount. I just dont have a odb2 serial or USB port to make the easydis or other software I collected from the bmw tuner site to work. I was under the impression my cheap scanner would work with the other software but it wouldnt. I seen some pics of the ACM on Bimmerforums the one guy spent like 1700 to manually do it. He didnt list the instructions though and i think he was showing it for a e92 so it already had the IDrive setup. Or it it was and e38 with Ibus.. dang i cant remember

someone there might be able to help you with the programming and even shed some light onto that ACM thing...

NOPE got to work..
Wanted to go to so I could roll up with my tracvision directtv dish mounted. But im still waiting on the activation card. darn All them X5's i had tons of questions too.

this is my first one, even though i tried to make it last 10 years for various BMW gatherings... lol... always something in the way...

Isn't that tracvision antenna like $3K? and if you have home directv, then it is only $5 a month extra? it looks like in your case you could benefit from the ACM module - if you have an email address, shoot it me, I'll send you the PDFs for the ACM installation, maybe you could make sense out of it...

I did a quick search for 65 12 0 422 145 and e53 and didnt see it anywhere in the pdf. Ill have to look more thoroughly at it and start looking at wiring diagrams. keep you updated.

the part number is on the first or second page... do a pdf search for 3digits, like 145, it should take you there
