CCC unit compatibility

Hey guys,

I have a 2008 Canadian X5 (4.8i) with a faulty CCC navigation unit. I'm looking to replace it with one from ebay; however, I can find the part number of the unit the guy wants to sell me in any google search or parts list.

It's 65839191568-01 (65839191568) - I believe its from bulgeria or some European country.

My question is..
  1. Would this unit be compatible with my vehicle after code changing?
  2. Is reprogramming the ccc unit as lengthy as i think it is (a few hours) ?
  3. Is it possible to change the region coding on the radio (diffrent frequencies for Eur) & DVD?
  4. Would I be looking for trouble by buying a European unit and thinking i can convert it to USA/CAN standards (region coding, maps, etc..)?
any input would be appreciated

what is asking for the ccc unit? i might consider selling mine. in my experience you have to buy the entire screen, ccc unit (radio etc), hvac controls, and the nav controller. Otherwise you'll end up having to code each one separately. I could be wrong. I ask how much he wants, because I'm considering selling mine.

Hi,

What's faulty with your CCC, is it not reading discs?because there is a fairly easy fix for that.
