Wiring Diagram for GPS on an X3

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a 2005 BMW X3. I am trying to determine how the navigation computer is wired into the GPS antenna in the shark fin. (if it is wired into the shark fin). I performed a retro fit and currently am using an external antenna but am looking for a cleaner solution.

is X3 using the iBus Nav? the MK4? if it is so, then the GPS antenna should be inside the Nav computer, as it is built-in... older, MK1, and maybe even MK2, had external GPS antennae.

if it is a different typeof Nav, then - sorry, i have no idea...

Navigation computer variants

Navigation computer MK2

In the navigation computer MK2, the GPS receiver is installed in a separate housing.
Navigation computer MK3 and MK4

In the case of navigation computers MK3 and MK4, the GPS receiver is integrated in the navigation computer.

Ok it seems that there is a GPS antenna in the Shark Fin but it is used by the TCU bluetooth unit. On a OEM installation is the Antenna in the Shark Fin shared with the Navigation Computer? If so how?

I think the shark fin is only for phones. The x5 GPS antenna is under the rear spoiler. I don't know about the X3. Trace the small single wire from the right rear side of the MKIV. It is the GPS antenna wire and the antenna is like a little puck. The GPS receiver is a small card inside of the MKIV box.

I performed a retrofit which is requiring me to place the antenna behind the instrumentation. I am trying to determine if this is the location of the factory install or should I be looking for a wire that is ran from the shark fin. My X3 has mobile phone, BMW Assist and Satellite Radio integration from the factory.

Attached is a photo I found on the internet of the underside of the Shark Fin, from what I can tell my car has wires running from each of these connectors but without extensive removal of trim pieces I will not be able to trace them.

Can you provide a photo of the rear of your MK4 with the GPS wire attached?
