X5 bolt on running boards with X5 etched on them

The importer emailed that he can get the running boards with the X5 itched into them... read thru the tread to see what they look like...

One unit is $365 shipped anywhere in the US from Taiwan and if we buy 10 they will drop the unit price delivered to $330. Seems like an ok decent deal but not much of a discount...
I only want to pay the lower price, who else wants in on the group buy? ... this is the time to act. The importer told me that two of our brethern were also gathering us for a group buy but I have not seen any messages of the kind. If whoever the two of you are can strike a better deal, post it otherwise my suggestion is send me a PM so to accumulate the group for the discount, then I will inform the importer of the list of the group buying them and you can do your own direct payment to the importer.
I am going to buy a set either way but it would be nice to save the $35 bucks.

Won't the dirt stick in the grooved X5 logo area. If only they had made these full size instead of stick-ons on OEM r/bs.

Here is what the boards look like with and without the X5 etching. We need 10 people to make an order happen. I don't believe we can mix/match so they will all need to be of one type or another... as in etching or no etching.

Wayne got back to me quickly... I also tried to get him to lower the price furthur but to no avail... read below. We also can get the RB's with or without the X5 etching, so respond with your preference.

The price is $330 shipped and it's already very low. We won't offer it any lower if quantity reaches to 25 sets. The retail price is $395 shipped each.

We can also get the same style without X5 logo etched but each style would require 10 sets order at least. No mix and match.

Please select "Good(other)" as payment type and put subject "X5 Forum Running Boards GB - C Type". IMPORTANT: Paypal account has to be verified account and the shipping address must be Paypal " CONFIRMED"

Look at the 15th posting on this tread and read the list of people, notice that I put on who paid and when.

However, this is just too much work for saving $30. I will wait until the end of this week for the others who said they wanted to buy, then I'm removing myself from this list and will simply buy it for what the asked $330.

I don't know this importer from another... I am assuming that since they have a good feedback % on eBay, they will come thru.

I want these too and am ready to pay.. HOWEVER, I do NOT want the etching. I want the regular one without etching. Everyone already knows it is an X5, IMO. No need to advertise further. :)

But the etching looks cool, especially when it reflects off the paint. :rofl: I don't think it's redundant. Do you think the M3's "M' decals on the 2 fender grills and all 4 rims are redundant and should be removed too? :nanana: J/K with you. Afterall, that's why we personalize our vehicles, to reflect what we like. :)

By the way, the etching does not get dirty. Actually, the area around the rubber nibblets gets a little dirty but that's also true for the OEM running boards.

I have sent PM's to all the members on the above interest list that have not paid or responded to this thread. Hopefully they will pipe in and pay up.

yes but the price ($330) is good for group purchase only. until last weekend, we only receive one payment and that person didn't want to wait and we offered him $370 shipped without participating the group buy. for further questions, you can email us at [email protected]

A number of you have private emailed me on this subject... As I said in the 11-28-06 posting... I'm out... this is simply too much work to save $30... I have bought a set that I plan to install in the spring... as I am way up north.

I wish you good luck and hope that someone else has the patience to wait for the group to form... it does seem like a nice bolt on running board.

yeah....just emailed them and they told me the GB fell through. still available as single purchases, but price is a bit high.

I know I am digging this up, but I have been emailing with Wayne at Bavarian Motorwerks and he is willing to do a group discount again. His offer:

What! You haven't read the all the posts! :rolleyes:

The one for sale on eBay does not have X5 on them. The "wholesale" one, that you can get from the same buyer and is not shown on eBay, has the X5 on them. The latter is better because it doesn't have a corner that sticks out or something like that anyway... :)

Yeah a read quite a few of them but gave up because I'm tired (Long day)
