Aluminum Pedal Set price?
Is everyone getting the replica set from eBay and stuff? Because I just looked at the authentic ACS price and it's 296$ for the pedal set with manual tranny, 283$ for the pedal set with automatic tranny and 264$ for the aluminum footrest.
I could talk a vendor into doing a group buy with total being around $479 total or try lower if a bunch of folks are interested? But then again, if there is already a cheap spot I don't want to waste everyones time. |
Hey Ricky, have you read this thread yet? HUGE difference in price with the replicas.

Ricky... you're the king of group buys, aren't you? :bustingup
ACS replicas are on eBay for $75. I think you'll have a difficult time convincing anyone to pay $280 bucks for the authentic ACS pedals. I'm starting to think you're getting commission on all these group buys, man... |

You gotta be careful with the Group Buy thing. It is really great to try and arrange a good price for things and this is a great community of enthusiasts here who are always interested in such deals, but in my opinion, none of us should be representing ourselves as an "agent" of X5/X3 World, save for Jeff or Drex. If you are arranging a group buy for the members of this forum to a vendor, manufacturer, etc. you are by default putting yourself out there as an agent of the owners and administrators in this community. Best to present your research or connections in the new Group Buy forum, or via PM to Jeff or Drex, and then they can best decide how to proceed. JV |

ncx: I did, but I've never felt good buying replica stuff. Don't get me wrong, I know there's a massive profit margin but hey, when a SL500 costs 16,000$ to make and you pay 89,900$ at the dealer for it... :)
Kaefer: I promise, no comission. I just love organizing this kinda stuff. Same reason why I'm president of a lot of clubs at school. JVZ104: Did I say I was an agent representing X5World? I never meant to if I did. I just love doing all this. It gives me a sense of satisfaction of knowing folks have gotten something they've wanted without paying a stupidly large sum. I used to work at Euroteck Motorsports and when I got asked to be a moderator, I chose to drop Euroteck because I knew it'd be a conflict of interest. I never got any money out of Euroteck because I did it for the fun. I know that might sound weird, but folks have fun doing various things. :) Some like golf, some like boating, I love modding cars :D |

ditto and please if you put together a group buy, do you research thoroughly and make sure you can save people $$ and that you do not give incorrect advice/info. That's a huge pet peeve of a lot of the regulars.
Case in point on your AFE intakes, your price sucks and some dealers will void warranty regardless of what SEMA or anybody else who refer to the Mag. Act says. They will still have to battle it out if their MAF fails. Also to those people who have signed up have to wait for the 7 others and still not save any money you're actually being irresponsible as an organizer. Finally your whole gig about 405mm rotors... those won't even fit under some 22" rims.. that's why Brembo AND stoptech do not make them.. it's stupid.. search the archives and you'll see the trouble even TommyX went through to get 380's to fit. The best advice I can give to you youngin, slow it down, don't jump the gun, do your research. It is ALWAYS better to be quiet than to open your mouth and remove all doubt if you do not fully understand the subject matter that you speak of. off soapbox. Quote:
