While you are at the BMW parts counter, get the pins for the housing. They are available pre-wired with sealing grommets but the wiring is very thin. There are two sizes of plugs as shown above.<O:p</O:p
If you are retro-fitting Xenon’s then you did not have the self leveling (Vertical Aim) then you do not need wires for pins 8 – 12. Those are used for the feed from the computer to the bi-polar self leveling stepper motors. See below for details.<O:p></O:p>

You can find the pin numbers on the inside of the clip (the side were
the wires come out. The colors match up with the older x5s except for the parking light and turn signal they are all in one wire.

GR/GN left side 01-03 and connect it to the pin #1-BL/GN on the 04/05 left side
GR/BL right side 01-03 and connect it to the pin #1-BL/BR on the 04/05 right side<O:p</O:p
