I'm gonna call BS on that video.. 1) 996 turbos are running high 11's stock..the M6 despite weighing 300+ less than the M5's will not be a 11 sec car. The power to weight ratio is just not there. Also the 996 turbo launch was pathetic, you could here him bog it.. he should be dumping the clutch at 5K like Eddie and boys used to do in Atco. 2) 996 turbo should not be walking 3-4 car lengths on a Gt3...

Now bear in mind.. my modded e39 M5 vs my neighbor's broken in E60 M5 on a private road - I was dead even with him until about 120mph when he started to pull ahead by no more than a car length and my m5 is a 11 sec car either..

...but this is the 3rd video posted by m5board and m6board of m6 vs 911 turbo and all videos still point to the same fact that the m6 is a MUCH faster car than the porsche...why would those two sites post bogus videos only to discredit the m6 later on....

half of it is in the driver.. those guys are horrible.. hell.. I've had friends in 996 turbos running 11.5 in the 1/4 mile on their shakedown runs (non modded) with 1.6 60 ft times.

they also have videos there showing m5's pulling away from E55's like they were standing still... I would like to see them race against guys like DerekFSU who are running some pretty good times.. so bear in mind also that I have driven both the E60 M5 an the E55 for extended periods of time..

another thing.. the US cars are handicapped since they got a wussy LC...
