I'm bored

Disclaimer: This is not intended to be e-annoying:)
Well, it's about 2:30pm CST on Monday and I am officially tired of working for the week. :)
I'm also bored out of my gourd (sp?). So I figured what better way to pass the time than to post some stuff. In case I haven't blabbed already, I have some new wheels on the way, they are the TSW Thruxton, pictures are available on my custom X page (link in signature). I started the search for tires and I think I'm decided on the Yokohama Advan S.T. Does anyone have any experience with them? Good/Bad/Indifferent? During all this, I get this idea put into my head about a big brake kit since the wheels will give a good view of the equipment on the other side. Well, the Brembo Gran Turismo kit goes for a cool $6,700 :wow: There is also the StopTech kit which has slightly smaller rotors but is only $5,000. Well that won't be happening for a while.
I don't think there's much else going on, just waiting for time to pass so I can get the heck out of here and mark day1 of the week as done.
Talk to you all soon, be safe, be kind to others. :)

I'm with X5Sport here, Eric. I'm not feeling those TSWs but what size are you getting? I'm guessing you're sticking to 20s staggered.

(LOL at the disclaimer)

Like the choice on wheels. I was looking at them as well for my X3.

I fixed your post for you ;)

And seriously, TSWs on a 4.8? Why not HRE, iForge, BBS, SSR, OZ, Giovani, DUB :)

I saw a pic of the wheels on an X5 and I liked the way they looked and they are a hell of a lot cheaper than HRE's, etc....
I am sticking with a 20" staggered setup. If I don't like them, I send them back. ;)

I have a set of brand new HREs 640 with brand new Diamaris if you're interested. I'll probably post them for sale soon.

I've heard nothing but negatives about TSWs... must be the reason they're so cheap!! I do like the looks though... VERY similar to the OZ Canyons that I came across when looking for new wheels myself. (The OZs are definitely a high quality wheel! )
But I think the Yok's look like they could be winners. If you get them, let me know how you like 'em (I'm considering either those, or the Toyos... )

Say what you want about TSW, but just because they are not $500+ per wheel doesn't make them a "cheap" wheel.
