BMW, in conjunction with Random House, brings you BMW Audio Books, a unique series of specially-commissioned short stories showcasing the work of some of the finest contemporary writing talent. Each gripping tale is yours to download for free and a new book will be available to download every two weeks. Listen to them on your MP3 player, your laptop or ideally, in the car. Never listened to an audio book before... I'll have to try this.

Did anyone listen to the first one? Any good?

I listened to the first one but didn't care much for it. Oh well, I'm sure they'll get much better!

Very cool! Thanks for the link; I hadn't heard about this yet. I listen to audiobooks in the car frequently during my commute or on long trips. (Audible.com). But, you can't beat free!

I've never listened to an audio book, but have always wanted to try it out. I think I'll start here. Thanks for the link :)

Thanks for the link. I'm into audio books. BTW statdoc - I'm with you on the free part. If you don't already know, the public library has a great selection.

All true. I do like the ability to have the audiobooks as temporary downloads on my Palm, though, when I can.
