well, you can edge out another ski racer for the gold medal.

that's what separated gold from silver in the men's super g... it's absolutely incredible, and the announcers are so used to it they hardly mention that the top 10 are separated by about 1 second.

13/100th's of a second... all of your training, sacrifice and practice and you win/lose by 13/100th's of a second, sorry, but it's absolutley incredible to me.

My wife can change her mind in 13/100ths of a second.

Yep - what I wonder about is the speed skating... in skiing the open a gate at the top and stop a beam at the bottom... I'm just wondering how they start the clock in speed skating - is it coordinated with the gun shot? :dunno:

The gun is wired electronically to the timer.
