My son's 16th Birthday Present
 

My son turns 16 this coming Friday (St. Patrick's Day :D ). Gotta keep him in the BMW fold, so here is the car that we got for him. It's a 1995 318is with a 5 speed in Hellrot Red with a tan interior. The car has 100K miles on it and is clean as a whistle. I drove it back from NYC this past week and had second thoughts about giving it to him and keeping it for myself. It rides and drives like a dream :thumbup:

We gave it to him yesterday (he was driving me crazy with finding different cars to look at - all of them e36's ;) ), and he was blown away. The look on his face was priceless. After a day and a half he is already quickly getting used to driving the 5-speed.

This is the same car I wanted when I turned 16 a few years back.

Last evening The CEO gave our 17 year Old granddaughter a 1989 MBZ 300E. 190.000 miles but still a beautiful ride. The look on her face was priceless. But her mother said she is soooo excited. Then we thought to ourselves, no way on Gods green earth would anyone have given us a car let alone a Mercedes Benz. My how times have changed.
Anyway I know your son was excited and I know he's gonna enjoy it. And guess what? I wanted to keep the Benz and mod it but decided this was a better thing.
