Cool pics of 3 Series...Evo style
X5 Board, and I've never owned one of the cars below, but I thought it was an interesting "quadtych" of the evolution...this is copped from an art. in Fri's WSJ on the current "angry look" on the front end of many cars. The article itself was dumbed down & boring, imo but, these pics caught my eye.
A Slow Sat eve, from the home of Every Day is Saturday, . http://online.wsj.com/public/resourc...0309175015.jpghttp://online.wsj.com/public/resourc...0309175035.jpghttp://online.wsj.com/public/resourc...0309175054.jpghttp://online.wsj.com/public/resourc...0309175025.jpg From L to R, upper row: '68, '84, '92 and 2006 3 series. BR,md (My new, [barely used], 132s are in my garage! Get 'em on Mon or Tues.) :D |
I had that 84, for about 12 years. Loved it.

Cool, but they skipped the e46 style in that evolution series
|
Jeff, since you pointed it out, they also skipped the 2nd generation E21 as well. How could they take a family picture when they flagrantly left out 2 members?
|
The '68 looks like George Michael when the flashbulb caught him in his Range Rover a few weeks back. I always thought a 2002tii would be a great little car to have.

Yeah, what's the deal with skipping the e21 and e46???
|
Those just happen to be the two that I have owned - 1971 320i was my high school ride in '88 (2 years of trouble, but I still loved it) and 2001 M3 convertible which still serves me very well. No issues with that car mechanically or otherwise.
