forbes, automobile

asawadude 04-02-2006 08:47 PM

Sorry...

I get Bimmer, Roundel, CD, and RT in the mail, look mostly look forward to the BMW oriented magazines. I've had RT and CD subscriptions going back to the mid 70's (cheap subscriptions). I'm thinking about dumping CD; it's really beginning to look dated from an art design standpoint. Good DIY info and parts ads in Bimmer and Roundel.

Good to see a few "Automobile" votes.... I used to work there, it's a great publication that doesn't get the credit that it deserves. Not surprised that the big 3 aren't so popular either, they all run the same stuff every month, no reason to get all 3 anymore.

Almost forgot, my favorites:

C&D/R&T/MT/Automobile/Autoweek/National Geographic/Eweek/PCMag

I worked in publishing for almost 10 years, i'm on so many comp lists that my bathroom is like the mag rack at Barnes and Noble.

2 jobs ago I put this little gem of a web portal together and re-designed the sites:

www.primediaautomotive.com

Travel + Leisure (for all the cool places I don't have time to visit)
Business2.0 (for all the companies that are richer, faster and smarter than mine--but I am a charter subscriber and I get it free. Ha!)
Kiteboarding (for all the kiters half my age who have ten times my skill level, live at home or in a van, have sponsors, and get to travel all the time.

I get no car mags. I know...whassup with that?

I was getting hand me down Automobile from the f/i/law but he cut me off.

Great thread!

Lets see,

Motor
PC Gamer
Guns & Ammo (yes, we get those here!)

asawadude 04-03-2006 04:41 AM

Wait!

No one has said X5world is as good as if not better than a car magazine. Where else can you get cars, politics, sports, agriculture, and scantily clad, uh, you know, all in one location!

Maybe I should get rid of my R/T and CD... They don't measure up!

drex 04-03-2006 08:31 AM

Like Mark B. above, RetiredBumdom offers some real free time
