Different IP Address in Router List?

I set static ip address, but when i go the client list in the router set-up it shows a different ip address for my comp. What gives?

Are you seeing something like 192.168.0.XXX? Those would be the IP address allocated by your router to each computer on your LAN and is separate from your static IP address that you set up with your internet service provider. If you look at your router setup menu, you should see your static IP address.

Regards, Mike

I know what my front end ip address is. I manually assigned my comp a static ip so that the router doesn't. However, when I go to the client table, it just lists the comps with the tail of the address .0 , .1 , .2 etc.

Is your DHCP server disabled?

Everything is working fine. I'm just wondering why the local ip address in the client table is different from what I assigned it.

I dunno. I assigned my daughter's computer a static IP address so I could lock her off the LAN from wherever I'm at (daddy's no dummy). But her static address shows in my table.
