counting down to my new X5
Well It's about time for my annual spring trip back east. This year also begins a new chapter of flying across country vs driving (yaa! no more dodging tornados). I am also picking up my new 2006 X5 4.4i Sport in Spartanburg THIS FRIDAY! :bmw: The next 6 weeks will find me in Spartanburg, Charleston, Atlanta, central NJ, Ocean City MD(golf), back to NJ, Ridgefield CT, back to Charleston, ending in Jacksonville for Memorial Day weekend.:zoom: After that, maybe another week in Charleston, before trying to figure how to get back to Idaho. Seems my townhouse won't close until August (or later :( ), so nowhere to park the new X5, except maybe back in NJ. I'll figure out something as the trip progresses.
As you can tell from my itinerary, I pass by alot of y'all on the east coast. If you see a highland green 4.4 Sport with 132 rims with Idaho plates(red, white, blue,'CITADEL') pass by, give me a honk or a wave. Please forgive me if I may not notice as I will probably be devoting more of my attention to the many drivers who inexplicably managed to obtain a driver's license or are driving without one. :dunno: Like that Disney commercial, I'm too excited to sleep:excited: , but I really ought to try. I have a busy 6 weeks ahead of me. I've got a laptop, so I'll check in from time to time. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to meet some of you. Please forgive me if my schedule can't match yours. I'll be back for the closing and will probably stay thru November. Maybe we'll catch each other then. If someone can explain how to reduce 2MB pics down to 100KB, I'll try to post pics of the new X. Thanks! Be Seein' You |
The BMW Dealer here in New Zealand are saying that all 4.4 X5s will now be getting the 4.8 motor prior to the realease of the new X5 next year.
New X5 petrol versions sales here in New Zealand has been very slow. Mainly due to the increase of fuel prices here. On the other hand sales for the diesels are very strong. Prices here in New Zealand for cars are very expensive compared to the rest of the world. ie a new 2006 x5 4.8is retails for $185,000k 4.4 is $148,000k the new M5 is over $250,000k and this is in New Zealand dollars a lot more when converted to US Dollar. |
We don't have the diesel option here in the states. I wish we did. We also don't have BMW Individual ordering. We're stuck with packages and cannot pick and choose individual features. ie, NAV now only available with the Premium Package.
